Rock Climbing Photography with Monty Milburn
When Monty has an opportunity to get out of the studio, he’s often out capturing the stories of people exploring life, and this time of year is prime time for rock climbers.
Recently he took a trip to Kentucky’s beautiful Red River Gorge, one of the world’s best places to sport climb. A part of the Daniel Boone National Forest, the Red River Gorge is well known for its amazing foliage and outdoor adventure. During the month of October sports climbers from all over the United States, and the world, flock to the Red River Gorge. With October’s cool temps and low humidity, the rock walls do not sweat and are easier to climb under these conditions. It’s a place of true beauty.
Meeting up with a few people Monty met through the studio, he also met a rock climbing couple enjoying living out of their van exploring the beauty of the United States.
“I have always admired the people who do this but now have a new respect for the sport that they so passionately love.”

Enjoy the beautiful photos of the day.
