A Year on the Edge – Museum Showing and Digital Download
Over the past few years, there has been one photo project that continually brings joy to our studio. Documenting a full year of the wild beauty of The Richard and Lucile Durrell Edge of Appalachia Preserve, our photographer TJ Vissing and the creative director Rick Conners of Smuckers have created something remarkable.
“The Edge,” as it is known by many, is a 20,000- acre preserve in southern Ohio’s Adams County that protects one of the most biologically diverse landscapes in the Midwest. This preserve is co-owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy in Ohio and Cincinnati Museum Center to protect the cherished land and its educational significance.
TJ and Rick have taken thousands of photographs documenting the seasonal changes as flora and fauna flourish in the preserve. After the conclusion of one full year, they have curated a meaningful collection of photos to promote the lands. Already they have since been featured in FotoFocus and a gallery showing at Cincinnati’s Llyod Library, but it has not stopped there.
